Keep the Peace
Here in the Bulverde Spring Branch area, we have been experiencing record breaking heat for several weeks. I don’t need to reiterate the importance of providing shade and water for your pet – we all know that and the news makes sure we remember. But you might not consider the added strain to your indoor air quality should your pets be spending more time indoors than they are accustomed to.
According to the EPA, the air inside your home is up to six times more polluted than the air outside of the average large U.S. city. SIX TIMES! This is because we seal our homes to keep the cool air in during these scorching summer days. We don’t consider the fact that most dust is not really dust, but dust mites and their excrement. A nasty thing to think about, but it is what causes many indoor allergy and other breathing problems. It is increased with every person and pet residing in your home – and this is only one problem.
Many times, I visit a home where not ALL members of the family are happy about the pets in the house. This disharmony is often caused by people who are sensitive to smell, dander/dust, or have allergies.
Four years ago, I discovered a machine that cleans and purifies the air in the home. I had tried several types, spending hundreds of dollars of air cleaners that were only minimally helpful – until Fresh Air by EcoQuest. It is the only air purifier given an award by the NASA Space Foundation. Personal experience has shown me that it will clean skunk smell in a matter of hours.
With small units perfect for bathrooms or near litter boxes all the way up to a single unit that will clean and disinfect up to 3,000 square feet, you are sure to find something to keep those sensitive noses happy.
